Description
The Gleamora-2 is a 55mm recessed ground light with an integrated 2W LED casting 4000K neutral white light through a tempered glass diffuser. The grey metal housing sits flush with ground level and carries an IP68 rating for full submersion protection, making it suitable for installation in driveways, pathways, patios and garden borders where water pooling or pressure-washing occurs.
Designed for drive-over areas, the housing withstands vehicle loads without cracking or deforming, allowing the light to be installed directly in driveways, garage approaches and parking areas as well as foot-traffic zones. The two-sided optics direct light outwards in opposite directions rather than straight up, creating a low-level wash that illuminates pathway edges, steps or the junction between gravel and planting without causing glare for drivers or pedestrians.
The 55mm diameter keeps the fitting compact enough to install between pavers, along the edge of a driveway or within timber decking without requiring large cut-outs. The tempered glass diffuser resists impact from dropped tools, garden equipment and wheelbarrows, and the screwless top surface prevents debris from accumulating around fixings. The neutral 4000K colour temperature sits between warm and cool white, providing clear visibility for safe movement after dark without the stark blue cast of higher-temperature LEDs.
Installation requires a 65mm core drill and connection to mains via an outdoor-rated junction box and driver. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty covering the complete fitting. The grey finish blends with concrete, stone paving and dark-toned gravel surfaces.

Frequently Asked
What does IP68 mean for outdoor use?
IP68 is the highest standard ingress protection rating, meaning the fitting is dust-tight and can withstand continuous submersion in water beyond 1m depth. In practical terms for a ground light, this means it will continue functioning when buried in snow, submerged during heavy rainfall, or pressure-washed directly without water entering the housing.
Can vehicles drive over this light?
Yes. The Gleamora-2 housing is rated for drive-over loads, making it suitable for installation in driveways, garage approaches and parking areas where cars will pass directly over the fitting. The tempered glass diffuser resists impact and the metal housing distributes the load to prevent cracking.
How is the light installed?
Installation requires a 65mm core drill to create the recess in concrete, paving or tarmac. The fitting connects to mains via an outdoor-rated junction box and driver, which must be positioned in an accessible location for servicing. The light sits flush with the surface once installed.
What direction does the light shine?
The Gleamora-2 uses two-sided optics that direct light outwards in opposite directions horizontally rather than straight upwards. This creates a low-level wash along pathway edges or driveway borders without causing glare for people walking or driving nearby.
