Description

The Ginevra 50 is a round drum light that fits on a ceiling or on a wall, finished in matt white on its outer band with a warm brass inner rim that catches the light as it leaves the fitting. It measures 53cm across and 11cm tall, so it sits close to the surface while still covering a good stretch of ceiling. The light source is integrated LED, which means there is no bulb to buy or change, and a white diffuser closes the underside. Depending on the version, it draws 25W or 30W and gives 1794 or 1877 lumens, with a CRI of 90, so colours and skin tones look true.

We see it in living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and offices, anywhere a room wants generous light from a fitting that keeps close to the ceiling. Mounted on a wall, it also works well along a corridor or landing. It comes in three colour temperatures: 2700K for a warm, homely light, 3000K for a soft warm white, or 6500K for a cool daylight white that suits a workspace or study. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The finish pairs matt white on the drum's outer band with brass on the inner rim, so the fitting reads as clean white from across the room and shows a warm edge of brass when you look up at it. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, whether it goes on a ceiling or a wall. For dimming, there is a choice: the DALI or push dimmable version dims through a compatible DALI control or a push switch, while the non-dimmable version gives a fixed light. As a practical note, settle on the dimming version and the colour temperature before you order, since each is a version you pick at the time of purchase.
