Description

Gina is a set of four stoneware Christmas mugs, each painted by hand to look like a little gingerbread house. Arched windows with tiny panes, a front door hung with a wreath, piped scrolls along the roofline and a row of dots at the base run round the brown body, finished with a plain band at the rim and a plain handle. Each mug holds 250ml and measures 7.5cm across and 7.5cm tall: a compact, true mug size for a proper cup of tea, a coffee or a hot chocolate, without being an oversized bucket of a cup.

These are mugs for the weeks around Christmas: coffee while the presents are wrapped, tea with a mince pie in the afternoon, hot chocolate after a cold walk. With four in the set, they suit a couple with friends dropping in, a family round the kitchen table or a festive breakfast tray on Christmas morning. They also make a warm present for someone who loves the season, and when January comes they put away together in a cupboard until next year.
