Description

The Giano is a slim linear LED pendant light: a long, squared bar 151.8cm in length, 9.8cm tall and 4.2cm wide, with its light running along the underside. It comes in white or black, so it can sit quietly against a pale ceiling or draw a crisp dark line through a room. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 4541lm at 3000K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and food keep their true colours, and its 60° beam spreads the light down across whatever sits beneath it. Depending on the version, it draws 54W or 56W.

Its length makes it a natural fit over a dining table, where one bar lights the whole run of the table in a single line, and it works just as well in a living room or over a long desk or shared worktable in a study. The Giano hangs on fine cables from canopies that each measure 13.6cm by 5.6cm, and it can drop as far as 200cm, so you can set it low over a table or keep it higher under a tall ceiling. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

We offer it in two dimming versions. The non-dimmable version simply switches on and off, while the DALI or push dimmable version needs a compatible DALI or push dimming control, so choose it if you want to set the level of light for dinner or for work. The profile is smooth and squared off at the ends, finished in white or black, with nothing to break the line of the bar. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so plan for that visit and decide on the drop you want before the work begins. Our photographs show the white version.
