Description
The Gemma is a 260mm mini pendant built around rectangular prisms of amber pearl and clear crystal, set inside a cylindrical vintage bronze frame. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) inside the cage casts light through the prisms, which refract and disperse it across surrounding surfaces. The amber pearl sections add a warm honey tone, while the clear crystal sections provide sharper, brighter reflections.
Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, hallway runs and bar areas, the Gemma works as a single drop above a small table or in multiples spaced along an island worktop. The 521mm minimum drop allows it to hang 600-700mm above a surface in standard 2.4m ceiling-height rooms, while the maximum 1416mm drop accommodates taller spaces or vaulted ceilings. The drop is adjusted on installation by shortening the cable inside the canopy.
The vintage bronze finish on the metal frame has a semi-matte surface with slight tonal variation that suggests aged patina without being heavily distressed. This pairs well with traditional oak, walnut and darker wood furniture, as well as warmer-toned contemporary kitchens using brass or copper fixtures. The combined crystal and bronze give the pendant a total weight of approximately 1.5kg, requiring a secure ceiling fixing but not needing structural support beyond a standard UK ceiling rose.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Gemma take?
The pendant takes one E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the amber tones in the crystal prisms.
Can multiple Gemma pendants be hung together?
Yes. The Gemma is commonly installed in groups of two or three above kitchen islands or dining tables. For a balanced look over a 2m island, space two pendants approximately 600-800mm apart, centred over the worktop length.
How is the drop adjusted?
The drop is adjustable between 521mm and 1416mm on installation by shortening the cable inside the ceiling canopy. Once installed and the canopy fixed to the ceiling, the drop length is set and cannot be easily changed without re-installation.
Is the Gemma dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose. Pair the pendant with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch for full control. The pendant itself has no built-in electronics that would prevent dimming.
