Description

The Garota S/02 is a large outdoor pendant light with a woven brown shade in a gently flattened globe shape, hung from a Graphite Brown structure. The shade is 72cm across and 46cm tall, and a white inner diffuser sits at its centre, so the light glows softly through the weave. It comes in two light source versions. The LED version has an integrated LED, so it needs no bulb: it is 17.1W, gives 366 lumens at 2700K with a CRI of 90, and is TRIAC dimmable, so it works with a compatible dimmer. The E27 version takes two E27 bulbs of up to 15W each, and the bulbs are not included.

Rated IP66 and made for outdoor use, it suits a garden dining table, a terrace or a covered seating area. It is just as much at home indoors, hanging above a dining table or lighting a living room. The drop runs from 108cm to 229cm on 150cm of cable, so you can bring it low over a table or keep it higher where people walk beneath it. At 72cm across this is a generous shade, so give it room: it is at its best over a long table or as the main light in an outdoor seating area, where one pendant gives the space a clear centre.

The structure is aluminium and stainless steel, and the shade is woven from polyethylene and synthetic fibre. The shade hangs on tensor wires that run 33cm down to it, and the canopy is 12cm across. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà. Whichever version you choose, it is a Class I fitting at 230V, wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician.
