The Garota S/01 is an outdoor pendant light with a squat, rounded globe shade in Ivory White, woven in an open, ribbed pattern that lets the light glow through the whole shape and spill from the open base. Its integrated LED gives 416 lumens from 8.4W, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and the light is a warm 2700K with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, faces and planting looking true to colour. The shade is 27cm across and 16cm tall, it hangs from a canopy 12cm across, and the fitting is 200cm in overall height. Its finish is Natural & White.

Rated IP66, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a terrace, a pergola over a garden table or the eaves above a patio, where a single warm globe gives a relaxed glow for evening meals. It is just as much at home indoors: hang one above a dining table, or space several along a long table or across a living room, where the woven shade brings a soft, natural texture to plain walls. Dimmed, it goes from bright enough for laying the table to low and warm for lingering afterwards.

Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà designed the Garota S/01, and its woven shade is the heart of it. The fitting is made from aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene and synthetic fibre, and its IP66 rating means it is sealed against dust and strong jets of water, so it can hang outside in the rain without a cover. It runs on 230V mains power and is a Class I fitting, wired in by a qualified electrician. On the practical side, it is TRIAC dimmable, so plan for a compatible dimmer when the wiring goes in if you want to bring the light down low.
