Frankie is a stoneware cup with its own matching saucer, both in speckled white and marked with a graphic pattern of broken stripes. Most of the stripes run up the side of the cup, and a few are laid across it beside the handle, which is a chunky, glossy loop that contrasts with the body. The cup is 8cm across and 8.5cm tall and holds 300ml, a generous size closer to a mug than to an espresso cup, so it takes a full pour of tea or a milky coffee.

Because the cup and saucer come together, this is a good choice for a slow breakfast, an afternoon break at the kitchen table or a morning cup carried through to someone still in bed. The saucer is 14cm across and 2cm high with a raised rim, so there is room beside the cup for a biscuit or a small pastry.
