Description

The Fora PF is an outdoor ceiling light with one rounded drum shade in Light Beige, woven in a close, ribbed pattern that light glows softly through. It sits on a short stem below a round canopy 12cm across and 5cm tall, and the whole fitting is 43cm tall; the shade itself is 30cm tall and 50cm across. It comes in two light source versions. The LED, TRIAC dimmable version has an integrated LED, so it needs no bulb: 17.1W giving 755 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps colours looking true. The E27 version takes two E27 bulbs of up to 15W each, and the bulbs are not included.

We see it under a covered porch, on a veranda, beneath a pergola or on the ceiling of a terrace, overhead and clear of chairs and tables. It is rated IP66, which means it is sealed against dust and protected against powerful jets of water, so it suits outdoor ceilings open to the weather as well as sheltered ones. At 50cm across, the shade has a generous presence over an outdoor dining table or a seating area by the back door. Choose the LED, TRIAC dimmable version and pair it with a compatible dimmer if you want to bring the light down for long evenings outside; the E27 version lets you choose your own bulbs.

It is made of aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene and synthetic fibre, and the woven shade in Light Beige is a soft, pale tone that sits easily against render, brick or timber. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà. It runs on 230V mains as a Class I fitting and is wired in by a qualified electrician, who should install it. Before you order, check the headroom under your porch or terrace ceiling, as the fitting drops 43cm from it.
