Description

The Fora M is a table lamp with a rounded woven drum shade in Rattan Brown on a Graphite Brown stem and a round disc base. An inner globe sits inside the open weave and holds the light, so the shade glows softly. It stands 70cm tall, with a shade 50cm across and a base 35cm across. It comes in two light source versions. The LED, non-dimmable version has an integrated LED of 17.1W giving 711 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, and it needs no bulb. The E27 bulb version takes two E27 bulbs of up to 15W each, and the bulbs are not included.

It is rated IP66, which means it is protected against dust and powerful jets of water. It can live out on a terrace, a patio or a garden table, and it is equally at home in a living room or a bedroom. The two versions connect differently, and that decides where each one suits you. The LED, non-dimmable version plugs in on a 3.3m cable, so you can carry it from an outdoor dining table to a corner of the living room. The E27 bulb version is wired in to the 230V mains by an electrician, which suits a fixed spot on a terrace or beside an outdoor seating area.

It is made from aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene and synthetic fibre. The woven shade gives the look of natural cane on a lamp rated to stay outside. The Graphite Brown of the stem and base is a dark colour that sits easily against stone, timber and planting. It is a Class I fitting. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà.
