Description

The Fora A is an outdoor wall light with a deep, rounded drum shade in Rattan Brown. It is held out from the wall on a Graphite Brown arm with a round 12cm wall plate. The shade is 50cm across and 30cm tall, and the whole fitting is 40.5cm high. Light glows softly through the open weave, while a white globe inside the shade hides the light source from view. It comes in two versions. The integrated LED version is TRIAC dimmable and gives 711 lumens of warm 2700K light from 17.1W, with a CRI of 90 so colours look natural. The E27 version takes two E27 bulbs of up to 15W each, and the bulbs are not included.

Rated IP66, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a front porch, a patio wall, a courtyard or the wall beside a garden door. The woven shade brings the warmth of an indoor lamp outside. A few set in a row along a long wall will light a path or a seating area with a gentle, even glow rather than a hard beam. The LED version needs no bulb and dims on a compatible dimmer, which is handy for evenings eating outdoors. The E27 version lets you pick your own bulbs.

It is made from aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene and synthetic fibre, with the structure in Graphite Brown and the shade in Rattan Brown. It is a Class I fitting that runs on 230V. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà, who set a familiar woven basket shape on a slim, angled bracket. It is powered from the mains and wired in by an electrician, so have a qualified electrician install it before your first evening outside.
