Description

The Fora A is an outdoor wall light with a rounded drum shade woven in Light Beige, held out from the wall on a slim arm. It is 40.5cm tall, and the shade itself is 50cm across and 30cm tall, so it reads as a generous, softly glowing shape on a wall. The open weave lets the light through as a warm, diffuse glow. It comes in two light source versions: an integrated LED, or two E27 bulbs. The integrated LED version draws 17.1W, gives 755lm at 2700K with a CRI of 90, needs no bulb and is TRIAC dimmable, so it works with a compatible dimmer. The E27 version takes two bulbs of up to 15W each, which are not included.

It is rated IP66 and made for outdoor use, so it suits a garden wall, a patio, a porch or the wall beside a front door, as well as covered terraces. Fitted in a row along a house wall or around a courtyard, a few of them give an even, gentle light for evening meals and paths. The 2700K light of the LED version is warm and kind to planting, stone and timber, while the E27 version lets you choose your own bulbs. It suits anyone who wants outdoor lighting as considered as the lamps indoors, with a soft woven texture that sits comfortably against brick, render and greenery.

It is made from aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene and synthetic fibre, with a 12cm wall plate, and the design is by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà. It is a Class I fitting that runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains, so a qualified electrician should install it. Before you order, settle on the version: the integrated LED version needs no bulbs and dims on a compatible dimmer, while the E27 version needs two bulbs of up to 15W each, bought alongside it.
