Description

The Folie S/70.2 is a large tiered pendant light with a white translucent ribbon shade, gathered into fine vertical pleats. A narrow cylinder sits at the top, then the shade flares into a wide cone, with a black ring at the waist where they meet and a second, shorter tier beneath. The shade is 70cm across and the pendant measures 247cm in height overall, hanging on 150cm of cable from a round canopy 14cm across and 2.7cm deep. It takes five E27 bulbs of up to 15W each, sold separately and not included in the box, so you choose your own; the translucent ribbon lets their light glow through every tier.

At this size it belongs above a dining table or in a living room with a high ceiling, where a single pendant can light the room and give it a clear centre. Over a long table it draws people together at mealtimes; in a living room it suits a generous space where a small fitting would look lost. The pleated white ribbon brings softness and texture to a room of harder surfaces, such as wood, stone or plaster. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The structure is steel and aluminium, finished in black, and it carries the white translucent ribbon shade across both tiers, with the black ring marking the join at the waist.
