Description

The Fluxon is an 8 light crystal ceiling light built around a 103cm rectangular gold-finish metal frame, from which three tiers of faceted crystal rods hang in descending lengths. Eight E14 bulb fittings sit beneath the crystal tiers, with light refracting through the cut crystal to cast prismatic patterns across walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for rectangular dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Fluxon provides both direct downlight through the bulbs and decorative scattered light through the crystal. The 103cm length suits tables between 180-240cm long or kitchen islands of similar dimensions, while the 305mm projection from the ceiling keeps the crystals above head height in typical installations. The fitting mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose and requires no additional chain or drop adjustment.

The metal frame is finished in a warm gold tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass in depth, with enough reflectivity to catch light without creating mirror-like reflections. Each crystal rod is individually faceted and hung on wire loops, allowing slight movement when air circulates through the room. The tiered arrangement concentrates more crystals at the upper level, with progressively fewer rods in the lower tiers, giving visual weight at the ceiling attachment point while keeping the lower edge lighter.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains supply before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal rod gently. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the wire loops or metal frame. Do not use household glass cleaners or sprays, as residue can dull the faceted surface over time.
