Description

Floria is a round seagrass basket, 42cm across and 34cm tall, woven in a zigzag pattern that runs all the way round in two tones of natural fibre. It has a belly shape: the sides swell out to a soft ridge at the middle, then draw in again towards the rim, so there is plenty of room inside while the opening stays neat. Two twisted seagrass handles loop up from the rim on opposite sides, and the whole basket weighs just 0.25KG.

At this size it is a proper storage basket rather than a small catch-all. In a living room it takes a folded throw or two, spare cushions or a stack of magazines beside the sofa; in a bedroom it keeps knitwear or extra blankets close at hand. It is just as handy in a hallway for scarves and hats, or in a child's room as a home for soft toys at the end of the day. Because it is so light, it is easy to lift by the handles and carry from room to room, so it can go wherever the tidying needs doing.
