Description

We stock the Float in smoke glass as a flattened disc pendant for over a worktop, island or dining table. The 200mm smoked glass disc hangs from matt black metalwork on an adjustable cable, with an integrated 13W LED module inside giving 700 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. The LED sits centrally so most of the light casts down through the base of the disc, while the smoked glass softens direct glare and lets a gentle glow through the sides.

We designed this one for focused task lighting where you want the light concentrated on the surface below, such as kitchen worktops, breakfast bars and dining tables. It works well hung at a typical drop of 700 to 900mm above the surface, and the 100 degree beam angle spreads the 700 lumens across roughly a 1.2 to 1.5m working area beneath. The IP20 rating means it is for dry interior rooms only.

The matt black canopy, rod and lower metalwork give a low-sheen powder-coated finish that resists fingerprints and sits cleanly alongside black taps, handles and appliances. The LED is dimmable on a compatible leading-edge phase-cut dimmer, so you can take it from full 700 lumens down to a softer level for the evening. It runs on 220 to 240V mains, has a colour rendering of 80 CRI and is rated energy class F.

Frequently Asked

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 13W LED dims on a compatible leading-edge phase-cut dimmer (sold separately), so you can set it from full 700 lumens down to a softer glow for the evening.

Where can I use this pendant?

It is rated IP20 for dry interior rooms, so it suits kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces. We would keep it away from bathrooms and other damp or wet areas.

How big is the glass and how bright is it?

The smoked glass disc measures around 200mm across. Inside sits an integrated 13W LED giving 700 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a wide 100 degree beam and 80 CRI colour rendering.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED module is built in and not separate, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. It wires to standard 220 to 240V mains and hangs on an adjustable cable you can set to your drop height.
