Description

We stock the Flat as a slim horizontal wall light in black, built for soft ambient light rather than a focused beam. An integrated 6W LED sits inside a black metal housing and gives 730 lumens of warm white (3000K) light, and the wide 120 degree beam pushes light both up and down the wall for a gentle wash that picks out surface texture without glare.

We reach for it in hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and corridors where you want a low to mid level of ambient light without an overhead ceiling fitting. It mounts flat to the wall on a back plate that sits concealed behind the housing, and the clean black metal finish keeps the hardware understated in contemporary, minimalist and industrial rooms. Because each fitting only draws 6W, you can run several from a single switch on the same circuit.

The light runs on 220-240V AC mains and carries an IP20 rating, so it is for dry indoor locations only. It is not dimmable, so it works on a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer. The LED renders colour at CRI 80 and the fitting is rated energy class D. The integrated LED is not user replaceable, so there are no separate bulbs to buy.

Frequently Asked

How is it fixed to the wall?

It mounts flat to the wall surface on a back plate that sits hidden behind the black metal housing, so once it is wired in you see only the slim fitting itself. It needs a 220-240V mains supply and is best fitted by a qualified electrician.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable, so it runs on a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer circuit. Wiring it to a dimmer could cause flicker or damage the driver.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It carries an IP20 rating, which means it is for dry indoor locations only, so it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet areas or outdoor use.

What kind of light does it give?

It gives 730 lumens of warm white light at 3000K in a wide 120 degree spread, casting a soft wash up and down the wall. That makes it well suited to ambient mood lighting rather than task lighting.
