Description

We stock the Flarity suspension rod as the component that lets you hang a 24V track rail below the ceiling rather than fixing it up against the surface. It is a 1m length of black aluminium with internal wiring channels that carry 24V DC power down through the rod, connecting a track ceiling canopy at the top to the track rail at the bottom. The matt black finish runs continuously with the rest of the Flarity black rails and fittings, so you get one clean black line from the ceiling down to the rail.

We reach for this rod when a track system needs to sit lower than the ceiling, whether that is dropping below a high ceiling or defining a lit zone over a counter, kitchen island or reception desk. It holds the rail 1m below its fixing point, and you can run several rods at matching or different drops to level a run across an uneven ceiling or route the track around beams and other obstructions. It suits the wider Flarity 24V track range and needs a compatible ceiling canopy and transformer, both sold separately.

The rod is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so it is meant for interior rooms rather than bathrooms or outdoors. On its own it is not dimmable; whether the finished system dims depends on the transformer and the track spotlights you pair with it. The aluminium construction keeps the rod light while staying rigid enough to support a populated rail, and it carries the full 24V DC supply internally so the wiring stays hidden within the drop.
