Description
We stock the Flare as a low-level bollard light for marking the edges of paths and driveways outdoors. It has a graphite housing in aluminium and plastic, and its integrated 3W LED gives 250 lumens of warm white (3000K) light through a plastic diffuser at the top, spreading the output evenly across a wide 92 degree beam rather than casting a harsh spot at close range.
We would use the Flare across residential gardens, commercial grounds and public pathways where you want gentle wayfinding light rather than floodlighting. It mounts into soil or soft ground on the included stake, so it suits pathway edges, steps, driveway boundaries and planting beds. The graphite finish keeps it low-key in daylight and sits neutrally against dark paving, gravel, grass and planting.
The Flare is rated IP65, so it stands up to rain, hose spray and garden irrigation without extra weatherproofing, and the aluminium frame copes with outdoor temperature swings and UV without fading. It runs on AC 100-260V, which is compatible with UK mains and mixed-voltage outdoor systems, and it carries an 80 CRI rating with an F energy class. At 3W and 250 lumens it is built for orientation and ambience, not high-intensity task light.

Frequently Asked
Is the Flare suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It is rated IP65, so it is protected against rain, hose spray and garden irrigation and is built for year-round outdoor use without any extra weatherproofing.
How is it fixed in place?
It comes with a ground stake, so you push it into soil or soft ground along a path, border or driveway. It is not designed for mounting onto hard paving or a wall.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated 3W LED is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed 250 lumens of warm white (3000K) light for steady low-level wayfinding.
What kind of light does it give?
It gives 250 lumens of warm white light at 3000K across a wide 92 degree beam, so it marks pathway edges and steps with soft orientation light rather than a bright spot.
