Description

Firefly in the Sky is a rechargeable table lamp in a Brushed Bronze finish. A slim stem rises from a round, low base to a tapered shade, with the light tucked underneath. It stands 26.5cm tall and measures 12.4cm across, small enough for a bedside table, a bookshelf or the middle of a dining table. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It draws 2W and gives 134 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, a soft glow for setting a mood rather than lighting a whole room, and with a CRI of 90, faces, food and fabrics keep their true colours.

Because it runs on a rechargeable battery, charged by USB-C, there is no cable to trail across the floor while it is lit, and you can carry it wherever the evening goes: from the living room to the dining table, then up to the bedside. It is rated IP65, so a bathroom is a good home for it too, sitting on a vanity or a windowsill for a gentle light at bath time. We think it suits anyone who likes their light to move with them, and anyone furnishing a corner that was never wired for a lamp. It also makes a thoughtful choice for a guest room, where a small, warm lamp is all that is needed.

The Brushed Bronze finish has fine, even brush lines and a warm, low sheen that sits comfortably beside oak, walnut, stone and linen, and it carries the same tone from the base, up the stem and across the shade. It is a Class III fitting that runs at 5V DC from its own battery, so there is nothing to wire in. When the battery runs low, charge it by USB-C and it is ready for another evening.
