Description
A dining table 180cm long, 90cm deep and 76cm high, built from reclaimed wood. The top is a run of planks with a lightly irregular edge, set on a deep square apron and four heavy square legs that sit flush at the corners. A drawer is recessed into one end with an antique brass handle, so it does not break the line of the apron. The wood is sanded and finished with a white wash, which pulls the different timbers to one tone while the grain, the knots and the old nail holes stay visible.
At 180 by 90cm the table takes a bench along each long side, with stools brought in at the ends. The 90cm depth leaves a clear run down the middle for serving dishes and candles with plates set either side. The drawer recessed into the end takes what otherwise lives loose on a dining table.
The wood came out of Indian ceiling beams and has been cut to size, sanded down and given a white wash to unify the look. Different timbers went into one top, so the tone and the grain shift across it. Rough texture, knots and splits in the grain come with reclaimed wood. The Fioni table is made at this 180cm length, at 220cm and at 275cm, and the range also holds a bench and a dining chair.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
180cm long, 90cm deep and 76cm high.
Is there a drawer?
Yes. One drawer is recessed into the end of the table, with an antique brass handle.
What other sizes are there?
220cm and 275cm.
Can it go outside?
No. It is for indoor use only.
Will every table look the same?
No. The mixed timbers mean the tone and the grain differ across a single top and from table to table, and rough textures, knots and splits in the grain are part of reclaimed wood rather than faults in it.
How do I look after it?
Wipe the surface regularly with a soft dry cloth, always working with the grain, and take extra care over the heavily textured areas, which may splinter. Mild soap and water can be used for cleaning, but take care not to use excess water. Keep wet items off the top, use coasters and mats, and soak up spills straight away with a dry paper towel. Oil must be wiped off immediately. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
