Description

Finney is a small round glass bowl with a cheerful sea theme. The clear glass is full of tiny trapped air bubbles, rather like fizzy water, and two little spotted fish swim across one side in raised relief, one bolder than the other. It measures 10.5cm across and 7cm tall and holds 320ml, so think of it as a snack or small portion bowl rather than a full-sized cereal bowl. The sides taper from a wide open rim to a narrower, thick base, which gives it a sturdy look.

It is made as children's tableware, and its size suits small appetites: a morning portion of yoghurt and berries, an after-school handful of crackers, or a few sweets at a birthday tea. Because the glass is clear, the fish seem to swim among whatever the bowl holds, a small detail that makes even a bowl of peas look more inviting.
