Our Felex rug is a large woven floor covering in natural seagrass and corn husk, 260cm long and 180cm wide. Broad stripes run across its width, and they come from texture as much as tone: flat bands of fine, close weave alternate with chunkier braided bands, some lighter and some darker. Seagrass is a firm, hard-wearing fibre, and paired with corn husk it gives the rug a surface with real depth and an easy, relaxed character. At this size it is a main rug for a room rather than a mat for a doorway.

Lay it in a living room beneath a coffee table, with a sofa and armchairs drawn up around its edges, or in a dining area, where it is large enough to sit under a table and its chairs.
