Description

We stock the Fad as a large ring ceiling light in matt black, measuring 1151mm across. It is built around a slim metal frame with an integrated LED running at 26W, giving 1450 lumens of warm white light at 3000K in a wide 120 degree spread. The open ring form keeps the fitting low against the ceiling while drawing a clear circular outline overhead.

We use it as the main light in living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, where its 1151mm width suits medium to larger spaces and rooms with ceiling heights of around 2.4 to 3m. The 3000K colour temperature keeps the light soft and warm rather than clinical, and the wide 120 degree beam spreads it evenly across the room instead of pooling under one central point. The low-sheen matt black finish stays quietly in the background against white or pale ceilings during the day, then reads as a defined ring once the light is on.

The frame is powder-coated metal in matt black, running on 220 to 240V AC mains at 26W, so there are no separate bulbs to buy or replace. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and is not dimmable, holding a steady output at full brightness with a CRI of 80 for everyday colour rendering. Energy class is G. If you want the same look in a slightly smaller size, we also stock the Fad ring at 1125mm.

Frequently Asked

Do I need to buy any bulbs?

No. The LED is built into the ring and runs at 26W, giving 1450 lumens of 3000K warm white light, so there is nothing separate to fit or replace.

Is it dimmable?

No, this Fad ring is not dimmable. It runs at a fixed full brightness on standard 220 to 240V mains, so we would not pair it with a dimmer switch.

What size room does the 1151mm ring suit?

At 1151mm across it works well as the main light in medium to larger living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms with ceiling heights of around 2.4 to 3m. For a slightly smaller space we also stock the Fad ring at 1125mm.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms only, so we would keep it to living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways rather than bathrooms.
