Description

We stock the Fad as a large ring LED ceiling light in matt black. The ring measures 1125mm across and holds an integrated 15W LED that gives 800 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, so it lights a room from a single fixed ceiling point without any bulbs to fit.

We would hang it centrally over a dining table, a kitchen island or a seating area where you want a wide, even wash of light rather than a tight spot. The LED runs through a 120 degree beam angle, spreading the light across a broad area below, and the 80 CRI output keeps colours looking natural around the table.

The frame is powder-coated metal in matt black, which sits well with both industrial and contemporary rooms and does not show marks the way a gloss finish can. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces. The LED is not dimmable, so it runs at full brightness and does not need a dimmer switch. It runs on 220 to 240V mains and carries a G energy rating.

Frequently Asked

Do I need to buy bulbs for this ceiling light?

No. The LED is built into the ring, so it arrives ready to wire in and run. It gives 800 lumens of warm white light at 3000K from a 15W integrated LED, and there are no separate bulbs to fit or replace.

Is it dimmable?

No. The Fad runs at full brightness and is not compatible with a dimmer switch, so you do not need to add one. If you want to soften the light in the evening, we would pair it with a separate lamp on a dimmer instead.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The ring measures 1125mm across, which makes it a generous fitting for over a dining table, a kitchen island or a seating area. The 120 degree beam spreads the light widely, so it covers a broad area from one central ceiling point.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is designed for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and hallways.
