Description

We stock the Fad as a compact LED ceiling light in matt black metal. An integrated 8W LED module sits inside a flat circular housing and casts 500 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through a diffuser, spreading it across a wide 120 degree beam. It is a smaller fitting than the Fad Ring versions in the same range, so it suits rooms where you want steady overhead light without a large fixture.

We use the Fad where a room needs even, warm light overhead: compact kitchens, hallways, landings, home offices and reading corners all work well. The 500-lumen output at 3000K gives enough light for everyday tasks and moving about without flooding a small space, and the matt black finish sits comfortably against contemporary, Scandi and industrial interiors where matt metal is the main accent.

The integrated 8W LED delivers around 62 lumens per watt and sits in energy class G under the current UK labelling scheme. The fitting runs on 220-240V AC mains, carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms and is not dimmable. Its CRI of 80 renders colours accurately enough for kitchens, hallways and general living spaces, and the LED module is built in rather than using a replaceable bulb.

No. This fitting is not dimmable, so it runs at its full 500-lumen output. If you want adjustable brightness in the same spot, pair it with a separate lamp on a dimmer.

Does it take a replaceable bulb?

No. The 8W LED module is integrated, so there is no separate bulb to fit or change. It draws 500 lumens of warm 3000K light straight from the built-in LED.
