Description
The ESP Aperta is a single-dwelling IP video door entry system consisting of a 7-inch touchscreen monitor, an IP65 rated outdoor keypad panel with integrated camera, and a PoE network switch for power and data transmission. The outdoor panel mounts flush or surface to a wall beside the entrance door, the monitor installs inside the property, and the PoE switch sits at the network distribution point to power both units over standard Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
Designed for residential front door entry, the system allows residents to see and speak with visitors before releasing the door lock remotely from the touchscreen monitor. The outdoor panel includes a backlit numeric keypad for code entry, a camera module above the keypad with IR illumination for night visibility, and a two-way audio speaker/microphone. The IP65 rating protects the panel against rain and dust ingress when surface-mounted outdoors. The 7-inch monitor inside displays live video from the panel camera when a visitor presses the call button, and includes touch controls for door release and two-way audio communication.
The PoE (Power over Ethernet) architecture means a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable run carries both power and data between the outdoor panel, indoor monitor and network switch, reducing installation complexity compared to separate power and signal cables. The white finish on both the outdoor panel and indoor monitor suits contemporary residential installations. The kit includes the outdoor panel, indoor monitor, PoE switch, mounting hardware and quick-start documentation.

Frequently Asked
What cable does the system use?
The system runs on standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. The PoE switch powers both the outdoor panel and indoor monitor through the network cable, so no separate power cables are required at the panel or monitor locations.
Can this connect to an electric door lock?
Yes. The outdoor panel includes a relay output designed to trigger electric locks, electromagnetic locks or electric strikes. The monitor's door release button sends a signal to activate the relay when pressed. Consult the manual for wiring the specific lock type being used.
Is the outdoor panel weatherproof?
The outdoor panel carries an IP65 rating, meaning it is protected against rain, snow and dust when correctly installed. It should be mounted under a porch or canopy where possible, though the IP65 rating allows exposed installation in most UK climates.
What's included in the kit?
The kit includes the outdoor keypad panel with camera, the 7-inch touchscreen monitor, the PoE network switch, mounting brackets, screws and a quick-start guide. Cat5e/Cat6 cable is not included and should be purchased separately based on the required cable run length between panel, monitor and switch locations.
