Description
The Erika is a single-head adjustable wall spotlight with a cylindrical matte black metal shade that tilts on a satin copper pivot joint, mounted to a circular matte black backplate. The shade houses one E14 bulb (sold separately) and can be angled to direct light onto a specific surface or upwards for indirect wash lighting.
Designed as task lighting for bedside reading, accent lighting for artwork, or workspace illumination in home offices, the Erika fits rooms where fixed ceiling fittings cannot provide directed light. The 180mm projection from the wall and the tilting head mean the light can be aimed at a headboard, a desk surface, or a feature wall panel depending on fitting height. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas.
The matte black metal shade measures 120mm wide by 170mm tall, with a white-painted interior that reflects the bulb output through the open base. The satin copper accents on the pivot joint and mounting screw contrast with the black finish without dominating it, giving the fitting a two-tone industrial appearance that works in both minimalist and warmer-toned contemporary interiors. The combined metal construction weighs 0.45kg, so the fitting can be screwed into plasterboard with appropriate cavity fixings or into masonry using standard wall plugs.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Erika take?
The Erika takes one E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for reading or accent lighting.
How far does the shade tilt?
The shade tilts on a satin copper pivot joint, allowing the light to be directed from roughly horizontal (pointing straight out from the wall) to angled downwards at approximately 45 degrees. The shade cannot be rotated left or right around the backplate.
Can it be used as a bedside reading light?
Yes. When fitted 1.2-1.5m above mattress level and angled downwards, the Erika provides directed reading light without illuminating the entire bedroom. The 18cm projection keeps the shade clear of most headboards.
What fixings are needed for plasterboard walls?
The 0.45kg weight requires cavity fixings rated for at least 2kg per fixing when mounting into plasterboard. For masonry or stud-backed plasterboard, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient. Fixings are not included.
