Description

The Erich is an 89cm linear pendant with three white blown glass globes set on a brass metal frame. Each globe sits on a circular brass backplate, spaced evenly along the horizontal bar, with the frame suspended from a single central drop rod. The fitting takes three E14 bulbs (sold separately), each housed inside a 15cm diameter glass sphere.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars, the Erich works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where the pendant can be positioned 700-900mm above the worktop or table surface. The central drop rod allows the height to be adjusted on installation. The 89cm length suits islands and tables between 1.4m and 2m long, providing distributed light across the surface without needing multiple fittings.

The brass frame has a warm metallic tone that sits between polished and satin finishes, giving enough reflection to catch light without becoming mirror-bright. The white blown glass globes diffuse the bulb light evenly, softening glare and providing ambient rather than task illumination. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor rooms only, it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

The fitting requires three E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, rated up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen use.

What table or island length does it suit?

The 89cm frame length works best over islands or tables between 1.4m and 2m long. For longer surfaces, the light distribution may leave the ends of the table or island underpowered, in which case two fittings or a longer alternative should be considered.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The central drop rod allows the suspension height to be set during installation. For kitchen islands the fitting typically hangs 750-900mm above the worktop, while dining tables usually position it 700-800mm above the table surface depending on ceiling height.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is for dry indoor rooms only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, shower rooms, or any outdoor or damp environments.
