Description

The Energizer Vision HD+ Focus is a 400-lumen LED head torch built around three white LEDs and two red LEDs, controlled via digital focus that shifts the beam from a concentrated spot to a broad flood with a button press. The torch runs on three AAA batteries (included), delivering 400 lumens on high mode for 3 hours or 45 lumens on low mode for 35 hours, with an 85-metre beam throw on high.

Designed for outdoor use, DIY tasks, camping and night walking, the head torch combines spot and area light modes with a dimming function and memory recall that returns to the last-used focus setting when switched on. The pivoting head tilts vertically to direct light where needed without adjusting head position, and the adjustable elastic headband fits over caps or directly on the head. IPX4 weather resistance protects the unit from splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for use in rain.

The dual red LED mode preserves night vision during tasks where white light would create glare or disturb others, such as night fishing, astronomy or late-night campsite movement. The shatterproof lens and 1-metre impact resistance rating mean the torch survives typical drops and knocks during outdoor activity. At 90g including batteries, the unit sits comfortably on the head for extended wear without causing neck strain or pressure points on the forehead.

The head torch runs on three AAA batteries, which are included in the pack. Energizer Max AAA alkaline batteries are supplied as standard. The torch is also compatible with rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries.

What does the digital focus function do?

Digital focus allows you to change the beam shape from a concentrated spot for long-range visibility to a wide flood for peripheral vision and close-up tasks, controlled via a button press. The memory recall feature returns the torch to the last-used focus setting when switched on.

Is it waterproof?

The head torch carries an IPX4 rating, meaning it is splash-proof and protected against water splashing from any direction. It can be used in rain but should not be submerged or used underwater.

What is the red LED mode for?

The two red LEDs preserve night vision during tasks where white light would create glare or disturb others. Red light is commonly used for night fishing, astronomy, camping after dark, or any situation where you need to see without ruining dark-adapted vision.
