Description

The Energizer Industrial HD Vision is a 400-lumen rechargeable LED head torch with dual white LEDs in the main housing, plus green and red auxiliary LEDs for night-vision preservation. The torch uses VisionGuard technology to ramp up light intensity gradually rather than switching to full brightness immediately, reducing glare shock when transitioning from darkness. The unit charges via USB cable (included) and delivers up to 4 hours of runtime on the high setting or longer on lower modes.

Built for workshop, site and outdoor use, the head torch carries an IPX4 weatherproof rating, meaning it withstands splashes and rain from any direction but is not submersible. The ABS plastic housing with overmolded polymer grips survives drops from up to 1 metre onto concrete without cracking or losing function. The adjustable elastic headband fits over hard hats, beanies or bare heads, and the lamp head tilts on a ratchet joint to direct the beam downward for close work or forward for distance viewing.

The torch beam reaches 80 metres on the high white setting, providing enough throw for identifying obstacles at walking or working distance in unlit outdoor environments. The green and red auxiliary LEDs allow map reading, instrument checking and close-up tasks without destroying dark-adapted vision, useful for security patrols, astronomy, night fishing or wildlife observation. The rechargeable lithium battery eliminates the need for disposable AAA cells, reducing running costs over the torch's working life.

The packaging states 4 hours on high mode. Lower brightness settings extend runtime further, with low mode typically delivering 10-15 hours depending on use. The USB charging cable is included in the box.

Can it be used in the rain?

Yes. The IPX4 rating means the torch withstands rain and splashes from any direction. It is not waterproof to submersion, so do not use it underwater or in heavy flooding.

What is VisionGuard technology?

VisionGuard gradually increases light output when you first switch the torch on, rather than delivering full 400-lumen brightness immediately. This prevents the sudden glare that destroys night vision when moving from darkness to artificial light.

Does it fit over a hard hat?

Yes. The adjustable elastic headband stretches to fit over standard hard hats, beanies, caps or bare heads. The headband is removable if you need to clean it separately.
