Description

This is a rechargeable LED head torch from the Energizer Industrial line, and the pack puts its numbers on the front: 400 lumens, a beam reaching 80 metres, four hours of runtime and seven light modes. The band holds the lamp housing across your forehead so both hands stay free, which is the whole reason to pick a head torch over one you have to hold. Output is dimmable from 10 per cent to 100 per cent, so close work in a confined space does not mean full power in your own eyes.

Seven modes and a dimmable beam make this a working light rather than a camping extra. We would keep it with the tools: under a car bonnet, in a loft with no lighting of its own, in a meter cupboard, or on a dog walk down an unlit lane.
