Description

This is a 9W LED replacement for the four pin G24q PL lamp, the stick shaped twin tube fitted to a great many commercial downlights and bulkheads. It puts out 1300 lumens at 4000K, a cool white, and the retail pack rates it as a 26W replacement. LED light sources reach full brightness the moment they are switched on, so there is none of the slow warm up a compact fluorescent tube needs on a cold morning. The lamp is not dimmable, and its energy rating is D.

PL lamps of this shape are usually found in recessed downlights, wall bulkheads, stair and corridor fittings, and the enclosed ceiling fittings used in offices, hallways, landings, garages and stockrooms. 4000K is the neutral cool white most people associate with a working space: cleaner and brighter than the yellow of a 2700K bulb, but without the blue edge of a 6500K daylight lamp. It suits a room you want to see clearly in rather than settle down in, and it keeps white paint, signage and labelling looking true. Check the cap on the old lamp before you order, because G24q has four pins and the similar looking G24d has two.
