Description

This is a cooker hood bulb: a small tubular LED filament lamp with an E14 small Edison screw cap, rated at 4W and giving 440 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. Fine LED filament strands sit inside clear glass, so the lit bulb keeps the bright point of light of an old incandescent lamp rather than the flat glow of a plastic capped LED. The pack states that it replaces a 35W lamp and quotes a 15 year lifespan. Two bulbs come in every blister pack.

Cooker hood and extractor housings are the usual home for a lamp this shape, and the bulb behind a grease filter gets switched on and off far more often than a ceiling light. Before ordering, take the old lamp out and look at the cap. E14 measures 14mm across the screw thread and is the smaller of the two common screw caps; E27, the size used in most table lamps, measures 27mm.
