Description

This is a 4.5W LED PLD bulb on a G24q four-pin base, made as a straight swap for a 13W compact fluorescent of the same shape. It gives 660 lumens at 4000K, a cool white, and the retail pack prints a 30 year lifespan and an energy rating of D. The lamp keeps the familiar folded tube form in white, with a moulded white base carrying four flat pins, and being LED it comes on at full brightness immediately rather than warming up the way a compact fluorescent does.

G24q bases turn up in commercial and utility fittings far more often than in living rooms: recessed downlights in offices and shops, wall and bulkhead fittings in corridors and stairwells, and fixed lamps in garages, workshops and storerooms. Before you order, count the pins on the lamp you are taking out. Four pins is a G24q base and this one fits; two pins is a G24d base and it does not.
