Emory 4 Light Duo-Mount Pendant/Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Olde Bronze

The Kichler Emory is a 610mm diameter ceiling light with an off-white fabric drum shade held by an olde bronze metal frame, designed to install either as a pendant with adjustable drop or as a semi-flush mount directly against the ceiling. Four E27 bulb sockets sit behind a frosted glass diffuser beneath the fabric shade, distributing light downward and outward through both the drum sides and the diffuser plate.

The dual-mount capability makes the Emory adaptable to rooms with different ceiling heights. As a pendant, the drop adjusts from 331mm to 1270mm on installation, allowing it to hang 700-900mm above a dining table in a standard 2.4m ceiling room or closer to the ceiling as a semi-flush in hallways, bedrooms or studies with 2.1-2.3m ceilings. The olde bronze finish on the curved metal arms and canopy carries a warm antiqued tone that pairs with both traditional oak furniture and transitional interiors mixing wood and metal.

The off-white fabric diffuses the bulb light before it exits the fitting, reducing glare and creating ambient rather than task lighting. The frosted glass beneath the shade provides a second layer of diffusion and closes the base of the drum, so the fitting works as general overhead lighting rather than focused downlight. Can it be installed as both a pendant and semi-flush?

Yes. The Emory is designed for dual-mount installation. The same fitting can be installed as a pendant with a 331-1270mm adjustable drop, or as a semi-flush mount sitting 331mm from the ceiling. The installation method is chosen during fitting and cannot be changed afterward without re-wiring.

What bulbs does it take?

The Emory takes four E27 bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair it with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting. The fabric shade and glass diffuser soften the light, so higher-output bulbs work without creating harsh glare.

What size room does it suit?

The 610mm diameter suits dining rooms, living rooms and main bedrooms with floor areas of 12-18m². In larger open-plan spaces the Emory works as supplementary ambient lighting rather than the sole light source.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The off-white fabric can be dusted gently with a soft brush or vacuumed on low power using an upholstery attachment. For marks, a barely-damp microfibre cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and allow it to dry fully before switching the light back on.
