Description
The Emberwave is a 12cm diameter recessed ground light with an integrated 6W 3000K LED housed behind a grey stainless steel bezel and toughened glass lens. The fitting sits flush with ground level and carries an IP67 rating for full water immersion resistance and dust protection. The construction is drive-over rated, meaning it can handle vehicle traffic across driveways and parking areas without structural failure.
Designed for pathways, driveways, patios and deck perimeters, the Emberwave requires a 120mm diameter cut-out and 80mm depth below ground level for installation. The recessed housing prevents trip hazards while the upward-facing LED casts warm 3000K light onto surrounding surfaces, marking edges and routes without glare. The grey finish blends with concrete, gravel and paving surfaces when the light is off, and the stainless steel resists corrosion in wet outdoor conditions.
The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 30,000+ hours of operation, which translates to approximately 12 years of use at 7 hours per night. The fitting operates on mains 230V and requires a transformer or driver suitable for outdoor LED ground lights, typically installed in an accessible location rather than buried with the fitting. The IP67 seal protects the internal components from rain, snow, ground moisture and garden irrigation systems.

Frequently Asked
Is the Emberwave suitable for driveways?
Yes. The fitting is drive-over rated and can handle vehicle traffic when installed correctly in a driveway or parking area. The toughened glass lens and stainless steel bezel are designed to withstand repeated wheel loads without cracking or deforming.
What installation depth is required?
The fitting requires a 120mm diameter cut-out and 80mm depth below the finished ground level. This allows the bezel to sit flush with paving, concrete or gravel surfaces. A suitable outdoor-rated driver or transformer is needed and should be installed in an accessible location above ground.
Can it be used in wet locations?
Yes. The IP67 rating means the fitting is protected against full water immersion up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes, making it suitable for areas subject to rain, snow, ground moisture and garden irrigation. The sealed construction prevents water ingress to the LED and electrical components.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated and non-replaceable. It is rated for 30,000+ hours of operation, which equates to approximately 12 years of use at 7 hours per night. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.
