Description

We stock the Elyra as a cordless, rechargeable LED lantern you can carry anywhere. A spherical smoked glass globe sits on a brown powder-coated aluminium base with a black metal carry handle, and the integrated 3W LED gives 88 lumens of warm white (3000K) light through the frosted glass in a wide 180 degree spread. It runs off a built-in rechargeable battery, so there are no cables to hide.

Because there is no flex to plug in, we find it useful anywhere away from fixed wiring: on dining and side tables, along a hallway, or beside seating as a soft accent light. It carries an IP54 rating against dust and water splashes, so you can take it out onto a patio, balcony or garden table in dry weather and bring it back indoors afterwards. The metal handle lets you move it room to room or hang it from a hook or branch.

The lantern is dimmable from a control built into the base, so you can set it from full output down to a low evening glow. The smoked glass diffuses the LED into an even sphere of light without harsh glare, and with a CRI of 90 colours stay true up close. The brown aluminium finish is a neutral tone that sits well with natural wood, rattan and stone.

Does it need to be plugged in?

No. The Elyra runs off a built-in rechargeable battery, so once it is charged you can use it cordless and carry it wherever you like, indoors or out.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. A dimmer control is built into the base, so you can set the brightness from full output down to a soft low glow for the evening. No separate wall dimmer is needed.

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes, in dry weather. It is rated IP54 for protection against dust and water splashes, so it is fine on a patio, balcony or garden table, and we would bring it back indoors in wet conditions.
