Description

Our Elliott doctor play set gives a young doctor a full kit for a round of house calls, in four pieces: a red carry bag with two handles and a printed cross, a toy stethoscope with a round chest piece, an arm bandage and a little pill bottle with a lid. The pieces are made from MDF, felt, polypropylene and cotton. The set measures 16cm long, 5cm wide and 25cm tall and weighs just 0.15KG, so it is light enough for small hands to carry from room to room.

This is a toy for pretend play at home, on the playroom rug, in a bedroom or across the living room floor, wherever a teddy, a sibling or a patient grown-up is willing to be listened to and patched up. The stethoscope gives the check-up its ceremony, the bandage turns a bumped arm into a proper case, and the pill bottle finishes the visit. The bag gives every piece somewhere to go between games, which helps keep the kit together on a shelf or in a toy box. Because it comes in a kraft card box printed with simple drawings of the four pieces, it also makes a tidy present for a birthday.

Each piece is made to look the part. The stethoscope has a long looped tube with rounded tips at the earpieces and a round disc marked with a cross, and the bag and the pill bottle carry the same cross in a circle, so the four pieces clearly belong together.
