Description

The Elderford table lamp stands 580mm tall under a 400mm shade of Tiffany-style leaded glass, with a single E27 lampholder inside taking an LED bulb of up to 10W. One central bulb lights the glass from the middle, which gives an even glow across the panels and keeps the fitting simple. At 4kg the lamp is heavier than its size suggests, and that weight is what makes it sit steadily on a side table. Bulbs are not included.

A single lamp of this height suits a bedside table, a side table beside a sofa, a desk corner or a hall table, anywhere you want a pool of warm light rather than general brightness. It is the practical choice if you would rather run one bulb than two, and the 400mm shade still spreads light widely enough to be useful for reading. The multicoloured glass gives a period bedroom real warmth and adds colour to a plain modern room. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

The shade is made from small pieces of coloured glass set into soldered metal seams on a metal frame, mounted above a metal base. It is a Class 2 fitting and is not dimmable, so it runs at full output. Dust the shade with a dry soft cloth, lift marks with a barely damp cloth and dry at once, keep sprays and abrasive creams away from the seams, and wipe the base with a dry cloth only.
