Description

This stoneware candle holder takes two dinner candles and has all the cheer of a cartoon drawn in clay. Two curved arms rise from a rounded centre piece with a ball on top, forming a wide U, and each arm ends in an open cup for a candle. Small round bobbles climb the outer side of each arm, and a larger sphere sits at the foot of each one, so the outline reads as a little figure holding up two lights. It is 26cm long, 8.5cm wide and 15cm tall, and the whole piece is multicoloured, with every section in its own shade.

Being only 8.5cm wide, it fits a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a slim console table where a broader candelabra would crowd the edge. On a dining table the holder itself stands just 15cm tall and sits comfortably in the middle, while its 26cm length keeps the two candles well apart.
