Description

This is a single focusing torch from Duracell, with an LED head rated at 550 lumens on its highest setting. The head twists to move the beam between a wide, close flood and a tight spot that throws light down the garden or the lane, so one torch covers both jobs without swapping tools. The body is matt black with a copper coloured bezel and a knurled midsection that gives a firm grip in a gloved hand. A broad tail cap lets it stand upright on a flat surface.

At 550 lumens it is brighter than the small torches that live in a kitchen drawer, and it suits the jobs where a phone light gives up: checking a fuse board, walking a dog on an unlit footpath, looking under a car bonnet or up into a loft. The focus earns its keep indoors, where a wide flood on the low setting fills a whole cupboard without bouncing glare back off white paint and packaging.
