Dune 6 Light Island Pendant - Gold

The Dune is a 93cm linear island pendant light with six E14 bulb fittings spaced along a gold-finished metal frame, surrounded by rows of rectangular cut crystal droplets that cascade from a central gold band. Each crystal is precision-cut to catch and refract light from the six bulbs (sold separately), creating layered sparkle across the 12.3cm depth of the fitting.

Designed for kitchen islands between 1.8m and 2.4m in length, the Dune provides both task lighting for food preparation and decorative presence above worktops. The adjustable cable system allows installation heights from 38cm to 138cm drop, typically positioned 700-850mm above island surfaces in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings. The linear format directs light along the length of the island rather than in a circular spread, reducing shadows on the worktop while keeping the light source above eye level for seated diners at the island's overhang.

The gold finish on the frame is a warm metallic tone that pairs with brass hardware, copper accents and warm-toned timber cabinetry. The crystal droplets are arranged in three horizontal rows, with the longest crystals positioned at the bottom row to maximise the vertical refraction when the bulbs are lit. The metal frame and crystal construction give the fitting a 3.2kg total weight, requiring secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable anchor point. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Dune takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for kitchen island use.

What kitchen island length does it suit?

The 93cm linear span suits islands between 1.8m and 2.4m in length. For islands longer than 2.4m, two Dune fittings can be installed in sequence, spaced approximately 1.2m apart.

How high should it hang above the worktop?

For kitchen islands, the typical installation height is 700-850mm above the worktop surface. This keeps the light source above seated eye level while providing adequate task lighting. The adjustable cable system allows fine-tuning between 38cm and 138cm total drop from the ceiling.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal droplet individually. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or allowing water to enter the bulb fittings.
