Description

The Duna is an 81cm linear pendant built around two curved polished chrome arms that interlock horizontally, each wrapped in a white opal acrylic diffuser housing three E27 bulbs. The fitting measures 810mm wide by 250mm deep and suspends from a central rod with an adjustable drop between 500mm and 730mm, allowing it to be set 600-700mm above a dining table or kitchen island depending on ceiling height.

Designed for elongated spaces where a single pendant would leave dark zones at either end, the Duna distributes six 15W CFL bulbs (included) across the 81cm span, providing 90W of warm 2700K light across the full length of the fitting. The curved arms create a wavelike silhouette that sits lower in the centre than at the ends, giving visual movement without the bulk of a traditional linear chandelier. The opal acrylic diffuses the bulbs evenly, preventing glare when viewed from seated positions.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs with modern, contemporary and transitional interiors where metal accents are already present in furniture or hardware. The 4.6kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or suitable anchor point. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 LED or CFL bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing output to be adjusted for task lighting during meal prep or softer ambient light during dining.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Duna includes six 15W CFL bulbs at 2700K warm white. These can be replaced with E27 LED bulbs if preferred, though the fitting is optimised for the warm tone of the included CFLs.

What ceiling height is needed?

With a minimum drop of 500mm and typical installation at 600-700mm above a table surface, the fitting suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The maximum drop of 730mm allows flexibility for higher ceilings.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but requires dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The included CFL bulbs may not be dimmable, check the packaging or replace with dimmable LED E27 bulbs rated for dimmer use.

How is the curved arm cleaned?

The polished chrome can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For smudges on the opal acrylic diffusers, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable. Avoid sprays or polishes that leave residue on the chrome or acrylic surfaces.
