Description

The Domita M/36 is a wood bell table lamp with a shade of interlocking slats in wood finished beech. The slats flare out at the top, draw in at the waist and open wide again towards the base, so the shade reads as a bell with a light, airy edge. A brown stem rises through the centre and finishes in a round, flat knob. The finish is Brown & Natural Wood: pale beech slats against the deeper brown of the stem and fittings. It stands 36cm tall, and the shade is 25.5cm tall and 20cm across. When it is on, the light falls out between the slats and through the open base, so the whole shade glows from within.

We see it on a bedside table or on a side table by the sofa. There its 36cm height sits comfortably without crowding the surface, and the slatted shade gives a soft, contained glow for the evening. The pale wood and brown detailing suit a bedroom or living room with natural materials, oak furniture or linen, and it looks just as good unlit as lit. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
