Description

The Display Wide is a short track bar that clips onto a magnetic rail and spreads a soft, diffuse light across a wide arc rather than aiming a beam. The body is a matt black extrusion, 565mm long and only 32mm deep, with the LED behind a diffusing face that softens the source into an even glow. Lit, it fills the space below and to the sides with gentle light; off, it holds a low, slim line against the ceiling.

The built-in LED gives 2950 lumens through a broad 125-degree diffuse spread, with 2180 of those reaching the room, so it lays down general fill light over a wide area instead of a defined pool. The wide diffuse throw suits it to lighting a whole zone evenly, an aisle, a table or an open work area, where a soft blanket of light is wanted rather than shadows and highlights. A colour rendering above 90 keeps colours true, and the warm 3000K settles the space.

The bar mounts on the Link 3-phase 1-10V or DALI track profile, which we supply separately to suit the run, and it draws power and dimming through the rail. The driver is built in and included, the fitting is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and built to Class II, and it dims through a DALI controller. We supply the head ready to drop onto the track, with the LED already fitted and nothing to wire into it.

What kind of light does it give?

A soft, diffuse wash. The built-in LED throws 2950 lumens across a wide 125-degree spread through a diffusing face at 3000K, so it fills a zone with even general light rather than a defined beam, and a colour rendering above 90 keeps colours true.

Does it need a bulb, and does it work on its own?

No bulb is needed; the LED is built into the bar with the driver included, rated for about 50,000 hours. It is a track head, so it clips onto an Link 3-phase 1-10V or DALI profile, which we supply separately to length.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, through DALI. The bar takes its dimming signal from the track, so on a DALI-controlled Link profile the warm output can be set from full down to a low level. We can advise on the right profile and controller before you order.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The bar is 565mm long, 62mm high and 32mm deep. Its wide diffuse spread suits general fill over an aisle, a table or an open work area, run singly or linked along a longer track for even coverage.
