Description

We stock the Dip as a recessed LED downlight for ceilings in dry indoor spaces. It houses an integrated 15W LED module giving 1550 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, set behind a deep reflector that throws the beam downward across a focused 50 degree spread. The trim is matt black aluminium and sits level with the ceiling once the fitting is recessed into its cut-out, and the 90 CRI rating means colours and textures read true under it.

This one suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, offices and retail floors where you want tidy downward light without a fitting that stands proud of the ceiling. Fitted at a standard 2.4m ceiling height the 50 degree beam covers roughly a 2 to 3m pool, so spacing several of them around 1.5 to 2m apart gives you even coverage with no dark gaps. The matt black finish keeps reflections down and reads cleanly against dark ceilings, exposed joists or black track runs.

The module runs straight off 220-240V 50Hz mains and needs no separate driver or transformer. It is non-dimmable, so it holds a single fixed output rather than working with a dimmer. This is the 76mm version at 15W and 3000K, and it carries an IP20 rating, which keeps it to dry indoor ceilings away from splashes. The body is aluminium and the energy class is G.

Frequently Asked

What size cut-out do I need?

This version fits a 76mm ceiling cut-out. It drops into a standard recessed housing of that size and the matt black trim then sits level with the ceiling.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated 15W LED is non-dimmable, so it runs at a fixed 1550 lumens of 3000K warm white and should be wired to a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer.

Does it need a separate driver or transformer?

No. It runs directly off 220-240V 50Hz mains with the driver built in, so there is nothing extra to wire in or find space for above the ceiling.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outside?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. We would keep it to dry indoor ceilings. IP20 offers no protection against water, so it is not suitable for wet areas or outdoor use.
