Description
We stock the Dip as a recessed LED downlight for a clean ceiling with no visible fitting. It is the larger 103mm version of the range, with a black aluminium trim ring and an integrated 15W LED module giving 1550 lumens of warm white (3000K) light. The 90 CRI rating keeps colours looking true, so skin tones, fabrics and finishes read accurately under it.
It suits living rooms, hallways, offices and retail spaces where you want ceiling-mounted light without the fitting drawing attention. The 50 degree beam angle throws a directed pool of light rather than a wide wash, so it works well in rows for general lighting or spaced to pick out a work surface or walkway. Once fitted, the trim sits neatly against the ceiling and only the aperture and reflector show from below, and the black finish keeps it low-key against contemporary and minimalist schemes.
The Dip recesses into a ceiling void through a 103mm aperture, so it needs enough clearance above the plasterboard or suspended ceiling to sit the module. It runs on standard 220-240V AC mains, and the aluminium body doubles as a heat sink, drawing warmth away from the LED into the void. It is rated IP20 for dry interior use, and this version is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed 1550 lumen output.

Frequently Asked
What size cut-out do I need?
This is the 103mm version of the Dip, so you will need a 103mm aperture in the ceiling and enough void depth above it to house the LED module. It fits plasterboard and suspended ceilings.
Is it dimmable?
No. This version of the Dip is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed brightness of 1550 lumens. If you want a dimmable downlight, please get in touch and we can point you to an alternative.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
It is rated IP20, which is for dry interior use only, so we would not recommend it for a bathroom or any zone exposed to moisture. It is well suited to living rooms, hallways, offices and retail spaces.
Do I need to buy a separate bulb?
No. The Dip has an integrated 15W LED module built in, giving 1550 lumens of warm white 3000K light, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace.
