Description
We stock the Dip in white as a recessed downlight with an integrated 15W LED, giving 1640 lumens of warm white light at 2700K. It sits in a 76mm white aluminium bezel with a finned heat sink behind, and the wide 50 degree beam spreads the light for general room lighting rather than a narrow spot. With a 90 CRI rating, colours read accurately across your furnishings and finishes.
We think it works well as everyday ambient lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and hallways, where you want soft, even illumination rather than tight pools of light. The white bezel sits level with the ceiling once fitted for a clean, built-in look, and the neutral finish suits both contemporary and more traditional rooms. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations, so we would not recommend it for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor soffits.
The Dip fits into plasterboard ceilings with access from above, and you will need enough cavity depth behind the ceiling line to take the heat sink and driver. It runs on standard UK 220-240V mains at 50Hz and needs no separate transformer or control gear beyond what is built in. The LED is not dimmable, and the aluminium body carries an energy class of G.

Frequently Asked
Is this downlight dimmable?
No. The integrated 15W LED is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed warm white 2700K output of 1640 lumens and does not work with a dimmer switch.
What size cut-out and ceiling does it need?
The bezel measures 76mm and it is designed for plasterboard ceilings with access from above. You will need enough depth in the ceiling void to take the heat sink and driver behind the fitting.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces only, so we would keep it to living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and hallways rather than bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor soffits.
Does it need a separate transformer or driver?
No. It runs straight off standard UK 220-240V mains at 50Hz with the driver built in, so there is no external transformer or control gear to add.
