Dip LED Recessed Downlight 15W 2700K 76mm - Black

We stock the Dip in black as a recessed downlight for a clean, uninterrupted ceiling line. It runs an integrated 15W LED that gives 1490 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, set deep behind a shielding louvre in a black aluminium trim so the source is tucked out of direct view. The 76mm aperture keeps the fitting neat overhead, and the light comes out in a focused 50 degree beam that suits accent work as much as general lighting.

This is a fitting we would reach for in living rooms, hallways, kitchens and retail spaces where you want targeted light without a pendant or a surface-mounted fixture. The recessed format sits flush into the ceiling void, and the black trim either blends into a dark ceiling or reads as a deliberate contrast against white. With a 90 CRI rating the Dip renders colours faithfully, so it holds up in colour-critical corners and where you are lighting artwork or considered interiors.

The Dip is built for dry indoor locations at IP20 and runs on a standard 220-240V AC mains supply, which a qualified electrician should wire in. The aluminium body doubles as a passive heat sink, so it sheds heat quietly with no fans or active cooling. This version is not dimmable, so it holds a steady warm output rather than dropping to a low glow. You will need a recessed ceiling void deep enough to take the housing behind the aperture.

Product datasheet

What size cut-out do I need?

The Dip has a 76mm aperture, so you will want a ceiling cut-out to match and a void behind it deep enough to take the recessed housing. We would ask your electrician to confirm the clearance above the ceiling before cutting.

Is it dimmable?

No. This version of the Dip is not dimmable, so it holds a steady 15W output at 1490 lumens rather than dropping to a lower glow. If you need adjustable brightness in the same spot, a dimmable downlight would suit better.

Which rooms can I use it in?

It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces, so living rooms, hallways, kitchens and retail interiors all work well. We would not fit it in a shower zone or anywhere exposed to moisture, as it is not sealed against water.

What sort of light does it give?

You get 1490 lumens of warm white at 2700K in a focused 50 degree beam, with the LED set deep behind a louvre to cut glare from direct viewing angles. The 90 CRI rating keeps colours looking true, which helps around artwork and detailed tasks.
