Description
We stock the Dip in white as a 15W LED recessed downlight for warm, directed ceiling light. It has a white aluminium trim ring with an integrated LED module that gives 1600 lumens at a warm 2700K colour temperature through a 50 degree beam, and it sits in a ceiling void so the trim finishes flush with the ceiling once fitted. This is the 103mm version, the larger cut-out in the Dip range.
We think it suits living rooms, kitchens, hallways and commercial spaces where you want an even wash of warm-toned light overhead. The 50 degree beam sits between task and ambient, giving you usable light for reading or cooking without hard-edged pools on the floor, and with a CRI of 90 colours stay accurate under it, which helps in kitchens and anywhere you are looking at artwork or fabric. The white trim keeps a neutral look against painted ceilings in white, cream and light grey.
The Dip runs on 220-240V AC mains and needs no separate driver, so there are fewer parts to fit and fewer that can fail. An aluminium body and visible heatsink pull heat away from the 15W module to keep it at a safe running temperature. It is rated IP20 for dry interior use, so please keep it out of bathrooms, shower rooms and outdoor soffits where moisture is present. This fitting is not dimmable.

Frequently Asked
What size cut-out does it need?
This is the 103mm version of the Dip, so you will need a ceiling cut-out to match. It fits into a ceiling void and sits flush with the surface once installed.
Is it dimmable?
No. This Dip downlight is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed 15W output of 1600 lumens at 2700K. If you need dimming, choose a fitting rated as dimmable instead.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20 for dry interior use only, so it is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor soffits. It is well suited to living rooms, kitchens and hallways.
Does it need a separate LED driver?
No. The Dip runs directly from 220-240V AC mains with the LED module built in, so there is no separate driver to wire in or find space for.
